Summary
I packed up and put everything away, leaving the flowers in fear. My work was complete as I brought the jars of petals out of the greenhouse and made my way to Crewels class. Little did I know, there was one crucial detail that I had missed when skimming the textbook. The fine print, in tiny grey lettering under the large block of text explaining both plants’ properties read:
Be extremely careful when handling these plants, they are tricky to cooperate with and are sly to try and get you to touch their leaves or stem. Never handle without gloves. If contact occurs, isolate oneself from human contact for 72 hours.
This mistake would initiate a series of interactions that would change my relationship with NRC forever.

You(the reader) originally thought this nightguard(read: janitor) job sucked. But hey at least the town was nice, the tourist were easily fooled, but the aquarium was decent and fun to go to.
If you ignored the sirens trapped behind thick glass. Or the fact that ever since you’ve met them, everything seems to be going downhill. At least the job pays well and the benefits of quitting are only a few fingers- whoops wasn’t suppose to say that.
