Chenle shrugs. His silence won’t be a good enough reason if he wants to convince them to join him. “Don’t you… Are you not curious about what the inside looks like?” He licks his lips. “Do you think it’s haunted?”
The hallways could be dirty, musty. Broken light fixtures flickering in and out with weak electricity. Something about the unsettling atmosphere is what speaks to Chenle.

Things will not get better.
It’s a scary thought. He knows it’s not realistic. He knows that, but he bites the inside of his cheek until he tastes iron and screws his eyes shut tighter before sighing. Then, he straightens up again before rolling his shoulders back, face turned upwards with his eyes closed as he just takes a moment to breathe.
Finally, he follows Jooheon. It’s all he can do now, really.

"I have other hobbies," he replied defensively. He really didn't. Outside of hanging out with Donghyuck, Renjun, or Jaemin, Jisung's entire life was ASGRI's research.
The subject grinned as he pushed the on the Researchers app, "I doubt it." Jisung's ears burn. He watched him scroll lazily down the long list of people- not all researchers- before he finally landed on Jisung's name, with his profile picture next to it. It was still his graduation photo because ASGRI had offered him a position on their newest project and Jisung had jumped in and thought about nothing else.
He watched too, as ZCL typed, Hi, it's Zhong Chenle.
Zhong Chenle.
( Park Jisung's life revolves around his work. Maybe it's inevitable that he gets invested. )
