Summary
Miles knows Jon has had an obsessive crush on him for a while now. The feelings are unreciprocated, Miles only has eyes for Gwen - until an ill-fated encounter at a party leaves Miles feeling betrayed and heartbroken. Then, Miles is forced to turn to the one person he knows wants him more than anything in the world.
What happens when a quick hookup turns into something more? And will Miles be able to figure out what his heart truly wants before he ends up breaking Jon's?

It feels like a lifetime ago when Miles applied for that internship. He needed work experience in a lab to graduate. When an opportunity to work with the one and only Dr. Ohnn appeared, Miles couldn't resist applying. Since then, things have heated up between him and his mentor - and now Jon is talking about divorcing his wife. What was a reckless and stupid tryst with a man he admired, is slowly starting to consume Miles's life.

When his experimental spider specimen - the spider from dimension-42 - escapes, he tracks down the boy who was bitten and comes face-to-face with Miles Morales, who might be his greatest experiment yet.

Jon cut in front of him, “Wait-! Listen. I know you’re probably feeling alone right now. But I can help.” Again, he cannot help. “Spider-Man just died. He was probably the only other person in this dimension who could ever understand what you’re going through. But I studied this spider. So maybe I can help you figure out what’s happening.”
The boy looked up at him, plush lips forming a thin line. There was a long moment of silence between them. “Can you really help me?” The boy asked. His voice so sweet, so smooth, like a warm hug, it was almost enough to break Jon down and force him to admit to all his nefarious motives.
It was then, in that moment, that moment of pure trust radiating off Miles, that Jon could feel his mind shifting gears. His spider was dead no more.
