Summary
Harumi is of the opinion that Shiraishi Akihiko is full of shit.
He knows he is alone in this opinion. Everyone else eats Shiraishi up like chocolate— he's the favourite intern, the golden boy of the office. It's clear that, if no one else, he's definitely going to make it through to full-time employment. And hey, if what he's doing is working, then good for him. Harumi can appreciate doing what you have to do for the money. He himself wouldn't even be here if he wasn't doing the same.
No one on this earth smiles that much naturally. No one can be so cheery, bright and upbeat, never showing any sign of dissent or discomfort, never showing sign of a human thought behind those eyes.
It makes Harumi's skin itch just to look at him.
(Or, how Harumi and Akihiko go from getting on each other's nerves to just maybe falling in love)

Summary
And on paper, this is such a stupid thing. It seems so melodramatic, to be passionately arguing in the middle of the street– oh if their classmates could see them now– over an all-nighter, over some exams. A moment they might not even remember in three years, probably won’t in five, definitely won’t in ten.
But it's more than that. Right now, this is important. Akihiko is important, and he's falling apart right before Harumi’s eyes. Earnestness isn't his strong suit, but this is something worth trying for. Worth being a little honest, really honest, for. Worth fighting the subsequent bite of shame for. Akihiko is worth that.

Summary
Akihiko pays for their tickets by way of apology, though that hadn’t been what Harumi meant by owing him, and they duck through the turnstiles into the amusement park.
For their double date. Akihiko really needs to stop being such a pushover, because it keeps getting him (and Harumi by extension) into awkward and easily avoidable situations.
But, he guesses that if Akihiko had more of a spine for telling people to get lost, Harumi wouldn’t know him at all. He certainly wouldn’t have the kind of intimate knowledge of him that being his fake boyfriend allows.

Summary
No. No. Makoto can indulge in a lot of wishful thinking, but he has to draw the line there. They are not dating, or anything close. He can’t be setting up his expectations like that, when Satoru won’t ever meet them. That’s not fair to him.
They’re not dating. They will never be dating. Satoru doesn’t like him like that. It’s never going to happen. Satoru likes girls. Nothing is going to happen.
This is Makoto’s mantra. But on a Friday, when Satoru asks him if they can talk about something, in private, behind the school, Makoto’s stomach fills back up with the beating of wings, anyway.
(Or, an exercise in misjudging the situation by a huge margin)

Summary
When it's all over, Jaewon feels like he's finally come up for air after too long underwater. It's a feeling he knows well. He thinks he might have been under since Mayhem’s debut, since that day on the train. He's almost forgotten how to breathe easy.
But he's learning. Little by little, conversation by conversation, bridge by bridge rebuilt. The dust is settling before his eyes, and with every breath he takes it gets easier, he gets closer to being able to do it without a thought. And like that, he keeps living.

“It’s not about punishment, Daddy.” Trucy starts the car back up. “You do that just fine all by yourself.”
~~
Trucy is going to get her happy little family together or kill them all trying.

So, in the interest of total transparency, he plans a first date to a couples therapist.
