Summary
Zhang Hao laughs and turns to look back at him, and Hanbin's breath catches in his throat at the way he looks right now, the sunlight falling perfectly over his face, the jewels on his circlet casting colorful shadows over his cheekbones.
"You know you love me," Zhang Hao says, voice light, like it's nothing. Then Hanbin's heartbeat really skips a beat, pausing and probably looking like a dumbstruck fool. Zhang Hao physically winces once he realizes what he just said, dropping his hold on Hanbin's arm, staring at the ground in front of him.
"Let's go home, Hanbin," he says after a long silence, tone very obviously, painfully neutral. Hanbin lingers, heartbeat pounding in his ears. Was that just an offhand joke about the friendship they've formed or has he really been that bad at hiding everything?
or: hanbin has to nearly lose zhang hao to realize that he wants nothing more for him to stay
