Summary
Nines had always been perfectly content doing his job solo. So when he showed up one evening with a new partner, even he was among those genuinely surprised at the sudden change.
But he didn't have time to second guess himself when a new and urgent case falls on his desk. People were showing up dead in a very particular manner, only days apart from one another. Now Nines and his new partner, Gavin must race to solve the case.
If only Nines didn't have to deal with these feelings growing in his chest distracting him.

Even in this curled-up position, Gavin could see the muscles under the black armor-like layer of skin. The long tail twitched as if the alien had registered Gavin's voice. This gave him a glimpse of the powerful hind legs, as well as the long claws on what could be described as its feet, that looked as if they were made of polished obsidian. The detective’s experience told him that a blow from the tail could break bones without any problem. No wonder the unknown alien had been able to injure Officer Brown in his turnout gear.
But that only piqued Gavin's interest even more.“Ohh, the dangerous monster is awake, mhm?”

Things have already been bad. String-of-mangled-bodies-turned-trafficking-investigation bad. And that’s on top of the standard every-day kinds of bad the job always is—shit like Fowler breathing down his neck about his goddamn “attitude problem,” and Anderson’s pet bot strutting around the office turning himself into everyone’s favorite computerized puppy, and the coffee machine in the breakroom still being busted even though apparently they had the spare cash lying around to get a second fucking detective-droid.
Oh, yeah. They have a second one now. RK900—the absolute bleeding edge of law enforcement technology. And because God has a sick sense of humor and a personal vendetta against him, specifically, he’s had it attached to his ass as a carbon-fiber babysitter for the past week.

After busting a group of serial killers Gavin and Nines return home to their apartment for some good rest and relaxation. As always the two detectives get into their own kind of trouble, relieving stress with the purest form of passionate rough fucking, hopefully their neighbours are heavy sleepers.
