Summary
The kitchen and everything in it, including Smitty, smells like vanilla.
Mack loves the smell. Just last night after Will was done with baking, he buried his face in the crook of Will’s neck and sniffed him like an over-eager dog.
Will had called him a weirdo for it, but Mack is far past caring. He knows deep down that Will likes that about him, loves his weirdest, messiest parts like it’s as easy as breathing. And Mack doesn’t mind showing these parts of him if it’s with Will.
Will, who’s busy in the kitchen again today, just like he was yesterday. Watching the Great British Bake Off with his mom and Grace for years turned out to be a valuable asset to further endear himself to his teammates and after the success of his banana bread at Thanksgiving, Will has turned their kitchen into Santa’s Cookie Workshop.
If only there wasn’t one problem. All the cookies he bakes, Will lamented to the team yesterday, mysteriously vanish overnight.

All of this is definitely not nutritionist approved but what the Sharks nutritionist doesn't know won’t hurt them. He unwraps another Dumle and wipes his chocolate-stained hands on his shorts.
At the bottom of the box there’s a pale-pink card. Someone wrote a short but sweet note in a barely readable chicken scrawl. “A sweet for my sweet,” Wille reads through a sticky mouth of caramel. “Signed, your secret admirer.”
The box couldn’t have been standing outside for too long since the chocolate hasn’t melted and the gummies don’t stick together from the merciless California sun. There are also no visible post stamps so it wasn’t shipped to his place, which only leaves one option: his secret admirer is right here, in San Jose.
Maybe it’s from one of his teammates...a teammate who's an expert on Swedish candy.

"House rules, Mack. You guys have to sleep separately," Aiden announces.
“That’s so dumb!” Mack says shrilly. “We’re not even gonna do anything!”
Aiden spreads his arms in frustration. “It doesn’t matter, Mack! If I don’t get to share with my girlfriend, you don’t get to share with your boyfriend.”
“God, it’s not like he’s gonna rail me in my childhood bedroom with everyone in the house!” Mack whines loudly.
Great. Now Will is stuck at the Celebrinis' for the next two weeks---sleeping under their roof, eating their food, and taking advantage of their overall generosity--all while Rick and Robyn enjoy their newfound knowledge that he tops their son.
