“Now the first thing I wanted us to do,” Kang says, “was to make snow angels in the Central Park. It’s to celebrate new journeys, beginnings, an iconic tradition for—” he cuts himself off. “A tradition, anyhow. But with temperatures dipping like this, we’ll all get frostbite. So how about it? Whaddya have in mind?”
“I don’t know.”
He genuinely doesn’t know what tourists do in the West. Maybe visit a monument of some sort. What will his book even be about, anyway? His ideas formulating in the background seem to crumble away. A love story of quotidian proportions. A tale that brings warmth to a regular day. One about overcoming not only others but yourself. Hypocritical coming from him.At his friends' behest, the overworked Mashiro takes a holiday to the West. There, he meets the thrill-seeking and lonely Kang, falls in love, and finds the courage to create happiness for his present self.
