Summary
Each moment they shared, every word they said, made it more real to Minghao that Hansol did seem familiar to him. At least, he felt familiar when he stood close to Minghao's body. For once, his mind wasn't worried about his paintings or how he would get to make them recognizable to his eyes again. His sleepless nights, his weird dreams, none of that mattered right now, as they stood under the moonlight, dark clouds hovering above them. For once, he felt like he was where he was supposed to be.
Time and time again, every memory shown to him contained Minghao falling in love with Hansol. Again and again. And every memory shown to him ended with Hansol being the reason of his death.

“Just don’t say anything too weird around my family, okay?” he blurts out as soon as Jeonghan hangs up the phone, not even bothering to ask Jeonghan to change his mind about coming. It’s obvious that’s a lost cause. “Just — can you be normal with them? Just act like we’re normal for a weekend.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Jeonghan tries, as if the shiteating grin on his face isn’t giving him away completely. “I’m always normal.”
Mingyu’s stomach sinks to his shoes.

“If you didn’t want to lose, you should’ve just said so,” Jeonghan says now, and Mingyu thinks he sees the sparkle in his eyes. That terrible knowing sparkle that screams mischief.
He’ll just keep playing pretend until Mingyu lets him in because they’re both so bored. He’ll tell Mingyu lies till it gets him aside and then they’ll start to doubt this—whatever it is that they’re doing.
