Summary
When Astrid wakes up outside Woodstone Mansion on Halloween night, she thinks she’s just drunk, concussed, or trapped in some bizarre escape room. The truth is worse — and weirder. She’s dead.
Now stuck on the grounds of Woodstone Mansion with a crowd of overly chatty ghosts (including one who apparently died without his pants), Astrid has to learn the rules of her new “existence,” come to terms with her death, and figure out what unfinished business is keeping her here.
It’s not the afterlife she imagined — but between the chaos, sarcasm, and the unexpected kindness of a certain loud-mouthed Wall Street bro, Astrid might just find that being dead doesn’t mean life is over.
