A thin, gray hand emerged from the folds of his cloak. The Creature’s telltale scales swayed, held aloft by the crook of a single finger. The Fell stared, jaw clenched. Tail stiff. Fur risen across his shoulders. The outside chill took root beneath his ribs, scouring his bones. He recognized the engraved artifact that weighed the instrument on one side. His shackle.
“Unbalanced,” the Creature lamented.
“I made no bargain with thee,” the Fell hissed.
“You made no bargain with me,” the Creature echoed amenably. “You are the prize he bargained for.”
The Fell Omen's eye is brimming with Grace. Executor saw it, behind the gauzy veil of Night that shrouds his face. A man so blessed by the Crucible does not deserve to be a puppet of the Nightlords. But Executor should be cautious when making deals with a Demon.

Nearly half a century has passed since. The Demigod Alliance strains. The Steward's Council of minders grow resentful of their Empyrean's absence. And Miquella himself seems to have abandoned the Capital in pursuit of his own ambitions. Morgott sees the coming war, and he is determined not to leave the Erdtree and Leyndell defenseless. But to do so, he will have to become King. And to become King, he will enlist a Banished Knight to bear a Lord's sins.

Summary
Mohg snarled at him. "Thou shouldst not have come to me alone."
The knight took a deep breath. "Dost thou intend to kill me, my prince, now that we are alone?" he asked calmly while staring up at him, his helm hiding all emotion.
"Dost thou intend to bind me, should I attempt it, my knight?" He spat the word 'knight' as though it were a foul curse word, burning his tongue.
This fanfic is set during the Age of the Erdtree exploring an alternate reality where Lord Godfrey attempted to help his firstborn sons.
Through a plot of subterfuge, Lord Godfrey has seized control of the Shunning-Grounds from Queen Marika. While it appears Godfrey has sentenced one of his Crucible Knights as lone warden of the secret sewer prison, in reality he has assigned him as Knight Protector of the crowned princes Morgott and Mohg and guardian of the Omen. The knight grows more attached to the princes than he intends - his affections for Prince Mohg especially interfering with his role as his protector and servant. And strange troubles soon begin to plague the Grounds as well when all of the Omen are haunted by ominous nightmares and the screamed warnings of wraiths.

Summary
Godwyn Gold is totally, completely, absolutely, positively, and definitely dead, for sure and for real. His mother, Marika, founder and CEO of notorious national monopoly Gold & Order, has been missing since a week after his funeral. Her five—er, seven—remaining children and stepchildren have all received sizable shares of ownership in her company, as has Dr. Rennala Caria of Raya Lucaria Enterprises, whose ex-husband Radagon, the COO of G & O, left her his own share before going missing himself.
Ranni, current acting CEO of a newly split-off R.L.E., is used to lying, scheming, blackmailing, and gaslighting, but the past year and a half has been a lot even for her. At least she has her brother Rykard to lean on, even if he’s distressingly convinced that the worst of everything is behind them.
On a completely unrelated note, the headlining act for this week’s show at the Moonlight Altar is apparently supposed to be some foreign synth rock collab called Survivors of the Abyss.
(I promise you don't have to read the really long Godwyn/Fortissax fic to understand this one!)
