    But apparently his family is about to grow, starting with a girl who is apparently a seer, and who is connected to the two fugitives by a prophecy.

After two school years in which he was nearly killed and twelve years of abuse by his mother's relatives, 13-year-old Harry does the unthinkable... He kills the Dursleys in an accidental magical explosion. He knows they'll try to arrest him, so he does the obvious: he grabs his things and runs away from home; now it would just be him and his owl.

    But when a huge black dog crosses his path, seemingly as alone and lost as he is... Well, Harry decides he has room beside him for a pet dog (who he doesn't even realize is his godfather).
