Summary
Rover crossed her arms over her chest, avoiding his probing gaze. “We likely don’t have much time so I’ll get straight to the point: how are they treating you here?”
Scar’s mirth died down, smile turning patronizing. “Much like our little game in the village, I’ll let you work out the truth for yourself. Truth is always better as a wonderful discovery, rather than fodder fed to you by someone else.”

Summary
Sakura’s finally got her hands on a Bingo Book. There’s no way she could possibly memorize all the information in one go, even though memorization is admittedly what she does best -
So when the page flips to show a face with striking resemblance to Sasuke’s, when the name reads Uchiha Itachi and the status reads missing-nin, when the picture clearly shows her own fucking soulmate tattoo on his cheek and jaw and neck, she’ll remember it in crystal clarity for the rest of her life.
In black and white, ink and paper, Sakura reads the writing on the wall.
Oh shit. My life’s going to suck.

Summary
Everything in her appearance exudes neglect – which only makes Alina flinch and look away. A few weeks ago, she’d thought she’d never look this way again. Aleksander had her convinced. If she closes her eyes, she can still sense his smell, the scent that screamed all yours, a promise he’d whispered to her the night of the Winter Fete before things had gone so horribly, horribly wrong. Staring at her with a breathless wonder, his scent like that of warm weather, an aromatic uplift of juniper berries, and something spicy too, rounded out with sandalwood and musk. Alpha. A perfect refreshing scent that used to make her mouth water, her legs weak with slick. She can still recall her own faint gasp when he swept her up in his arms, put her on that war table like she barely weighed a thing, the rumble of his voice against her chest – my Sun Summoner, my Omega.
Except it had all been a lie.
And she can feel it coming, her first heat. And there’s not a thing she can do to stop it.
