Summary
Hudson and Connor are best friends. Both are in stable relationships, and they’re about to begin filming the second season of Heated Rivalry. But a matching bracelet becomes the breaking point. Not only between them and their partners, but between the two of them as well. It marks the beginning of a deeper realization: what exists between them can no longer be defined as just friendship.

"And I’m your boyfriend," François replied without raising his voice. "But when you’re tired, when you’re scared, when you start to doubt… you don’t choose me."
Silence fell between them again, more unbearable than before.
"I’m not saying you don’t love me," he added, quieter. "I’m saying I’m not the place where your heart comes to rest."
Connor swallowed. His throat felt tight, like anything he said would break something else.
"That’s not fair…"
"Maybe it’s not," François admitted, looking at him with a mix of exhaustion and pain. "But it’s my truth, and Connor, the truth is it hurts like hell to love someone who’s always looking somewhere else."
