Chu Wanning bit his bottom lip. He used silence as an answer. This was utterly embarrassing.
Mo Ran moved around the side of the desk, leaning against it right next to Chu Wanning.
“If you’re upset with me, I can make it up to you.” Mo Ran’s voice seemed much lower as he spoke.
Chu Wanning didn’t catch it, but his eyes flickered upward subconsciously. He’d heard this many times before, but hearing it from Mo Ran was an entirely different feeling. For some reason, his throat felt rather parched, and a slight tint of red crept around his ears. What in the world could he be imagining?
