NICO thought that he was okay... That he didn't need as much attention and recovery period compared to the first time he went to Tartarus, but each passing day, it's as if the world was trying to prove him wrong. Could it be that he was merely making himself believe this? He just wanted to be there for Will! And for that... He had to be strong, right? He thought he was okay, but is he really?
WILL still get nightmares ever since Tartarus, and can you blame him? He tried so hard to overcome his past struggles, but as Tartarus continues to torment him, said struggles began resurfacing, and it made him sick to be regressing. When can he truly start moving on? When can he start growing? What did he have to do to be as strong as Nico?! What did he have to do to grow away from his struggles for the second time? To turn this regression into progression? To overcome this helplessness that he always hated?

Summary
Will Solace is a massive workaholic and keeps holing himself up in the infirmary so Nico wants to take him out on a roadtrip vacation.
Unfortunately campers can’t just leave for long periods of time without a quest so obviously Nico does the most reasonable thing and plots with Dionysus and Apollo to set up a “quest” to send Will & Co. to “retrieve” his “lost lyre” which is totally not a cover up just so his son can go on a well deserved and definitely needed vacation.
Will & Co. have to go across the country to question Apollo’s friends to find his lyre, chaos ensues.

It's your classic Three Days in the Infirmary-to-Solangelo Getting together fic, with original and unexpected twists as Nico and Will stumble their way through a funny little something neither of them has a name for yet.
This fic picks up right where Blood of Olympus left off, beginning with borrowed dialogue as a jumping-off point into Nico and Will's slow-burn-of-a love story through and after the infamous three-day stay.
