Summary
Naruto knows something terrible happened to Sasuke's family, and that the boy is just as alone as he is. Even though Naruto considers Sasuke his rival, he can't just leave it be when he sees someone in that much pain. So he does what no one did for him when he was suffering: he goes to Sasuke, determined to do at least something to ease Sasuke's agony.
Sasuke can't understand why this annoying classmate of his always drags him around, does stupid pranks or just creates trouble. But then he realizes that by following Naruto around, the terrifying chasm of grief inside him doesn't feel so overwhelming anymore. For the first time, he actually has a friend.
As years go by and they finally grow up, they find out they might even be something more.
