Summary
Hey sis,
I know things probably feel strange right now. I wish I could explain everything properly, but some stories have to wait until the right time to be told.
Do you remember that hiking trail we took in the Arklays when you were little? The one where you got lost because you wandered off chasing those stupid fireflies? You cried so hard you could barely talk when I finally found you.
You always did have a habit of wandering into places you shouldn’t.
If you ever feel like wandering again, remember that the obvious road isn’t always the safest one. The loud places draw attention. The quiet ones keep their secrets longer.
There are still doors people forget about. Old places that were never meant to stay closed forever. Some of them even open if you know where to stand.
Just remember to follow the light.

Summary
“Get in,” Leon commanded, his voice devoid of pity.
“I hate you,” you whispered, your voice trembling.
He just gave you a final, firm shove into the dark interior of the truck.
“Good,” he said, his voice flat. “That makes two of us.”

Summary
You've known Grace forever, and you love her to bits. Your dynamic shifts encompassed on a scale from coworkers, to friends to something more like family, but most of the time it very much feels like Grace is the daughter you never had, moreso when she adopts Emily. Sometimes it feels like you're raising them both, but it's nice to know you share that workload with someone. You know Leon as the man who saved Grace's life and how she saved him right back. If you are a mother to Grace when she needs it he is a father to her in the exact same way. You've never met the guy though. One weekend Grace decides that needs to change, and she's willing to employ trickery to get results. Maybe she just thinks you'll get a long, maybe she's gunning for the complete set, or maybe she just thinks you'll like each other. What happens remains to be seen!
so basically, Leon and Reader's respective adoptive daughters scheming to get them together, that's it, that's the fic.
(used to be called Hope is the thing with feathers, but then I turned it into a series lol)

On the same night, you head to the same bar, ready to drown your sorrows alone and hide from the world.
Neither of you expected you'd find each other, or that finding each other would be more than just a one night stand.
