Nagito blinks, startled, as Hajime's face appears above him like an unwanted angel of death. He does not have the reflexes to bury himself under the snow fast enough.
"What are you doing?" Hajime asks.
Nagito's irritation blooms. Cold. Wet. Staring at Hajime's dumb face. Truly the trifecta of suffering.
"What does it look like I'm doing? Sunbathing."

Hinata stares at his hand, almost surprised Komaeda’s fingers haven’t left burn marks on his skin with how high his temperature seems to be running. His mouth is way too dry.
Komaeda looks up at him. “If you’re worried about it,” he starts, voice wavering. “I really, really don’t want you to.”
Hinata shuts his eyes hard enough to see stars. He’s made more than a few questionable decisions involving Komaeda at this point. He thinks this one might rank pretty high up there.

They have a house in some old, small town. One built long before Future Foundation was created, but eventually taken, that had avoided the worst of despair. It’s a pretty thing. Old ivy leaves creeping up the sides, moss invading the roof. It’s near dreamy, reminding him of a time long since passed.
He wonders if they deserve it. If they should bother staying.

Ultimate Lucky Student and all.” Komaeda tilted his head. “But if you really do want to kill me, I’m sure we can find a way to make it happen!”On the way back from the third-year class trip to Hokkaido, the bus happened to leave two students behind: a tag-along Reserve Course boy who, as always, wasn’t quite sure how he kept getting himself into these situations, and an enigmatic young man who was beginning to feel very, very cheated by his luck.
Now, if Hajime Hinata wants to get back to Tokyo, he’s going to have to face a hotwired car, 900 miles of open road, and ten days stuck with Nagito Komaeda.
