Summary
Oh gods, I'm definitely going to die, is Hawks' first thought. His second is: I fucking knew those were a fire hazard.
The flames die down as quickly as they exploded, leaving behind the small, flickering orange flames from before. Hawks shivers at the sudden lack of heat, pulling his robe tighter around him.
"Aw, don't go covering up more," a voice says, and Hawks jerks his head up to stare at the figure sitting on the edge of the far side of the sunken area. The deity Dabi smirks at him, leaning forward with his elbows on his knees. In the low light of the candles, the dark purple patches of scar tissue stand out starkly against his pallid skin. His eyes are a piercing blue, blazing in the same shade as the flames from a moment ago, and he is breathtakingly beautiful.
Dabi's eyes sweep appraisingly over Hawks, and his smirk grows. "They brought me a pretty little bird this time, huh?"

Hawk's town has a tradition: every year, they offer a human 'sacrifice' to their local deity. This year, it's Hawks' turn to offer himself up to Dabi. But will the notoriously picky deity accept his offering?
