Why should it matter to him either way if they come to their senses? It's Kurusu's damn crusade to get his little coterie of fools with him, and it's his damn funeral if and when they fail him at the end of the week.
This is a matter of happenstance, just as well as it is of run-of-the-mill curiosity. Convenience, at most.
Still, though. It is a beautiful painting. -

Summary
Anne's love for Shiho is something simple, yet all-consuming. The world clicks into the right space as she presses kisses against Shiho's forehead, giggling at the bright red marks of lipstick she leaves behind. Anne was made to love Shiho, and vice versa. Everything is perfect, despite anything and everything trying not to be, because her hand fits against Shiho's, their fingers lacing together like that was the only thing they were made for.
Shiho is wrenched from her, their little universe torn to shreds.
Anne finds herself changing.
