Nicholas stood for a bit longer, taking in the pristine white stone and arched windows. Tried to imagine what growing up surrounded by this much space, and comfort, must have been like. Being able to call the dozens of bedrooms, massive grounds, and no doubt state of the art fencing facilities your home. Summary
He thinks about them like spilled ink, covering notes on the music sheet in darkness, staining their lace cuffs. The ink would never go neatly back to the glass container, the sheet will never be clean again, and the pool of black seems to be hundreds and thousands of jumbled notes stacked and trapped together. But the ink flows, so fascinatingly, gracefully, almost like having a mind of its own, sternly announcing its presence. So Mozart thinks, the notes that get lost in the chaos can be re-written. They could be better.
