Diluc had heard the story a thousand times, growing up. “Lord Barbatos,” he said loftily, “was a guest at my christening. He blessed me with the virtue of obedience.”
Kaeya tensed up, all at once. “Wait, who?” he said hoarsely.
“Lord Barbatos, God of Freedom. He’s Mondstadt’s Archon,” said Diluc with importance. Kaeya would have to know these things, soon, which meant it was Diluc’s duty as a loyal child of Mondstadt to tell him.
“I know who he is,” said Kaeya, even though he had just asked. “Hold on—he cursed you to be like this?”
“Blessed me,” Diluc clarified, “technically speaking.”
"Fucking Archons," said Kaeya with feeling.

Summary
After communication with the space station is lost, food supplies start running out and what was supposed to only be a month long data collection mission turns into a fight for survival. With a greater danger lurking just outside their bunker, things become dire and orders must be disobeyed. Kunikuzushi and Kazuha soon discover just what it means to fear for their lives and somewhere in the midst of all this they still learn just how much they mean to each other.
