“Spock?” He asks. Nothing. Jim is about to snap the comm closed in frustration, when he hears a ragged inhale.
“You’re on a roof?” Spock’s voice is deadly soft, flat and hard and…something else that Jim’s brain won’t process. Jim rolls his eyes. He grabs another drink and wrestles it open, taking three large swigs before he bothers responding.

1000/10 i love the idea of having that sort of mental bond with someone and them being able to feel your emotions even when you avoid expressing them more openly (AND you can choose to hide them if you’ve learned the art of putting up shields like wtf that’s so cool!!!!) it leads to the bestest angst scenarios where your hurt is so raw and expressive in your eyes but when your bondmate (hhh need to steal that for myself omg spouses are OUT bondmates are IN) tries to check the vibes of your bond you’ve got a massive wall in front of your side yessss hahaha YESSSS [insert sicko meme]
