Summary

The Black Apothecary lies just on the border of Hogsmeade. Wizards and witches near and far come to stock their potions from Regulus’ shop. And business is good.
At the start of a new term, professors stop in for their needs, his brother and Remus included. But it’s an almost forgotten familiar face made new that makes today special, when a grown James Potter comes into the shop requesting something rather unusual. A potion to calm his heart and head. A request James would very much like to keep between the two of them. A business proposal. A secret.
As Regulus tries different iterations of the potion James requested, the two start to grow close through session after session of failed potions with strange effects. Regulus starts to fear the potion James needs is an impossible task, and that he will fail his new friend in his promise to help him.
Or, Regulus and James try a bunch of weird potions and fall in love in the process.

best comfort fic fr :( this is so cute and I’ve always loved the idea of an apothecary. This is so odd but this fic feels like eating warm bread by the fire on a winter night, it’s sooo cozy and I feel full and soft :) genuinely so excited for the next updates

For as long as he could remember, Regulus knew he was going to marry a prince.
It was sealed in his destiny, embroidered in the fairy tales the maid told him to make him sleep, so neatly sewed into his eyelids that he even dreamed of it at night. In his dreams, he was always glad and so giddy about it, up until the moment he grew up to have wants and needs and Regulus understood that there was no universe in which he could have wanted to do otherwise.
For as long as he could remember, James knew he was going to be king.
It was written in his blood, running through his veins as steely resolve. It was destiny chanted in royal hallways, whispered in his ears as both a promise and a warning. Since he had been able to think for himself, James had been pervaded by an ever present mindfulness of fate, manifesting in the way he talked and walked, rode his horse and wielded his spear. Lords, barons and dukes had called him heir to the throne before knowing his name, kneeled at his feet before he could know what it meant to rule. James looked in the mirror and saw a prince before he could ever recognise himself.
Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown.

A story in which high school is full of Embarrassing Heterosexuals and college may be a little better, Mingyu doesn’t know what he’s getting into with that Wonwoo kid, his friends Seungcheol and Jihoon are kind of assholes, and a lot of growing up and lessons learned is to be had.
