Summary
Will was all out of excuses to keep avoiding Mike. He didn’t think he’d be strong enough to keep avoiding Mike either way - not with Mike calling him everyday- but this feels entirely too soon, the memories still fresh. Will feels that if he even thinks about Mike he could feel the phantom of Mike’s fingers digging into his hips, his lips pressing into Wills’ pulse, the thickness of his hair between Wills’ fingers.
The Wheeler’s front door opens on its own, and Will jumps from where he’s standing, letting out a small yelp in surprise.

“Hey…” he started, getting Will’s attention back immediately. Hazel, brightening eyes met chocolate sparkling irises. “If we end up, you know— not dying—, we should go to the arcade.”
Will tilted his head slightly, a frown in his forehead showing his confusion. “Okay? It’s been a while since we’ve gone there, though. Why the arcade? Has Lucas or Dustin mentioned—”
And Mike cut him, quickly, before his courage could turn into regret. “No, uh– I meant— just you and me.”
Will forgot how to breath. And even though he could swear his heart stopped working, it sent all of his blood straight to his cheeks, now tinted with a noticeable pink blush. “Oh.” it’s what he managed to say.
The signs… turned a snowball into an avalanche.
And just as Robin’s talk reminded him, Mike continued talking.
Continued rolling that snowball.

After the events at MAC Z, everyone deals with new concerns. Specially Mike and Will.
Hopeful, lingering promises are made. New feelings are exposed. And a new life awaits for them to take the chance they're finally given.
