Summary
The sort of curse incurred by breaches of the laws of hospitality are actually quite simple things to deal with, if the one cursed is willing to sincerely admit their fault and request forgiveness from those they have wronged.
Unfortunately in this case the one who has been cursed is Sir Julien Davinos, so Bolaire is going to have to get creative.

Summary
Last she'd seen Julien, he'd been standing guard outside, unable to be persuaded that it wasn't necessary. Thaisha wasn't sure if it was because she was the one asking or if he just couldn't stand the idea of doing nothing.

The door to Aranessa's borrowed room was still half-open, and Thaisha peeked inside to find her not in bed, but sitting on the small couch on the other side of the room, eyes fixed on nothing in particular. Thaisha could see her only in profile, but she could tell that she hadn't slept.

Summary
Percy sighs, a ratty thing. Flexes his hand, brings it over the line of morning shadow into tentative light.
Professor Anders
It’s not his handwriting. He hasn’t seen ink in weeks, too scrapped for coin for the luxury. The P starting at the base of his hand, affording the traitor his distinction, his name eating up the space of the pad of Percy’s left thumb.
Opens his palm. Yes - on the inside of each finger, a name:
Doctor Ripley. Lord Briarwood. Lady Briarwood. Sir Kerrion Stonefell.--
Your mind is the most powerful weapon you have. - Mark Hunt
