Atlas, who carried the weight of the world on his shoulders after a failed coup against the gods. Achilles, who stormed a city and died avenging his love. Icarus, who flew too close to the sun and fell to his death in the sea.
In every one of these, he sees Satoru.
If Suguru could curse the universe, if there were words big enough to do so, he would. He would curse it all the way to its vast expanding ends, for making someone like Satoru into a hero, with tragedy and the inevitable fall written into his future.
Or: Suguru struggles with feelings, buys Satoru the infamous sunglasses, and raises his middle finger to the universe. Not exactly in that order.
