Not when his glove traced over a scratch on her cheek, observing the scabs that met his thumb. Not when the Conqueror of Demons, Adeptus Xiao looked upon her with the worry of a lover.
    “…Who did this to you?”
    His voice was quiet, but underneath, a silent rage seethed. It almost took away her breath, if she had any left to spare.
