For twenty-two year old Newt, life is nothing more than a difficult journey. After being forced into the army, being forced out of the army, and dealing with a life-long injury, he's resorted to simple thieving to provide for his best friend Teresa and the little orphan girl Beth from across the street.
Life is okay. Normal. Consistent.
That all changes when the royal family decide to invite Newt to their castle to teach the prince how to fight, and they collide - and their worlds do right with them.
