Draco finally pushed off the wall, stepping closer, his height dwarfing her until she had to tilt her chin all the way up just to meet his eyes. His gaze held no mercy, no softness. “One chance. On our terms. You don’t want it, say the word. But if you don’t…” He reached out, brushing his thumb against her jaw, almost gentle. “…then you’ll play our game.”
Her pulse thundered in her ears.
One chance.
Their game.
Theo leaned down, closer than Draco, eliminating the last remaining space between them. His eyes were demanding. “Do you agree to play, Granger? Yes or no?”
Hermione paused, her chest heaving slightly. She hated the demand, hated the fact that her body screamed "Yes." She rolled her eyes dramatically, letting out a frustrated puff of air.
“Fine,” she muttered. “Let's play.”
