Summary
Indecision had always been his undoing. They had so much to talk about but they never talked. They spoke, surely, about a great many things- Aziraphale’s dismay about the emerging popularity of “E-Books”, Crowley’s dislike for groups of tourists in the streets on his drives, their love of humanity’s growth. But Aziraphale’s fear of saying or doing the wrong thing- the thing that would make him lose Crowley- had kept them at a distance. He knew there were so many things left unsaid. He was just not brave enough to say it.
aka Aziraphale is in love with Crowley and he’s struggling a great deal with saying the darn thing.

Summary
Crowley did not deserve good things. He did not deserve the feeling of Aziraphale’s plush thighs beneath his sharp edges. He did not deserve the firm press of the angel’s strong thumbs at his protruding hipbones. He did not deserve the gentle nip of teeth against his chapped lips. But a small, greedy part of him wanted to beg for more- beg for bruises and cuts and chafes. Because what love did Crowley deserve if it was not a reminder of violence?
aka Crowley is going through some stuff.

Summary
The first time Raphael wept was when he was brought low — wings smoldering and broken but whole — on the burning shores of the Lake of Fire. The tears fell from his eyes, rolled down his fevered, soot-smudged face, hissed out into steam before they could even touch the ground. He had never cried before- he had never known that he could. But then again such sorrow, too, had become known to him only then, upon his Fall. He had never felt pain of any sort before he hurtled downward for what felt like forever, disgraced and suddenly imperfect, punished for something he did not understand.
He would often wonder why others were shown Grace in the face of their malfeasance while he was cast out for a sin he would never understand for all of his days. Before the Garden, before the Apple, was a Child of God, feeling the fear of Her for the very first time and not understanding why.
--
Or: A study in tears, forgiveness, and how they are wielded. Crowley is comforted and finds healing. Aziraphale finds his own path back to grace.
