Summary
It was at this moment that I forgot to convince myself that I was only kissing him back out of muscle memory; that the pressured feeling in my trousers was nothing more than a projection of Camilla. I’d love to believe that I said no; that I told him to stop. The truth, though, is that I didn’t tell him to “cut it out,” and I’d instead nodded eagerly.

if you don’t ask me to stay.”Francis visits Richard during the holidays every year. Each year ends differently. They cry. They laugh. They smile. But most importantly, they yearn. Yearn for what would’ve been; what could’ve been; what should’ve been— and what will be.

Summary
“To be honest with you, I’m going to take a bath and go to bed,” Francis said. Richard hardly thought before saying, “Can I come?” The implication was something Richard realized after he’d said it, and while otherwise he would never willingly invite himself into something like that, it sounded far better than anything he could do alone in his room.
