He doesn't know when it shifts. It begins quietly, like fog rolling in across a familiar street. But then it grows. It pulls and folds and winds itself around them, and no one knows anymore where the performance ends and the real thing begins.
Yonghoon doesn’t see it at first. Doesn’t feel it until it’s already in his lungs, already settled under his skin.

In his last moments, Yoongi thinks of sunrise. The way its light would paint Hoseok in such an ethereal glow that, sometimes, had Yoongi struggling to believe he was real. The way it still does, even years later, even if now Hoseok is only the empty and broken shell of everything he used to be.
