Max喜欢Checo，但不觉得Checo喜欢他。直到他看到他们在拉丁美洲的颁奖典礼上斩获了情侣标杆奖。按照正常人的思维，Max得出了结论：他和Checo一直在约会，但是由于文化差异自己没能意识到。他感到很内疚，所以决心从此刻起成为最佳男友。
在古德伍德速度节上秀恩爱当然是最好的开场。

Summary
想要阻止草薙將話說完，八神再次發動攻擊。這次草薙的火燄纏繞上八神的雙腕，不讓話有任何被曲解的餘地。
「──每當看見月亮就想起你，是你做的暗示…八神。」
是誰在戰鬥過後留下這句話？
與月色相映的背影成為每次戰後的回味，最主要的部份。
明知道那是八神要他不要忘記對他的仇恨，然而兩三次的合作減輕了每次相見時的肅殺感，他們也曾相安無事地處在同個空間中，對付共同的敵人。
依舊是認定對方是唯一的敵手，然而建築在這層關係上，衍生出的其他情感卻超出他的掌握，宿敵的身分早已慢慢變質。
「…放開！」足以將他灼傷的痛楚絲毫不影響八神的行動，而草薙這時快一步扣住將襲來的五指。八神讀出草薙眼底的訊息：「你想逃嗎？」
