As is the case with most ideas, Charlie is the one to suggest that Alastor bring Lucifer to the next overlord meeting.
“We need to know what the overlords are up to if we’re going to have any chance at saving the sinners under their control,” she points out to Lucifer.
“Uh-huh. But, duckling, your little bellhop boy is already an overlord with insight into those meetings. Why do I need to join him?”
Charlie clasps her hands together, her scarlet eyes sparkling. “For team-bonding!”
Well. That is an argument against going, as far as Lucifer is concerned.

Summary
Lucifer grows very still. It’s like he is not even breathing anymore. His eyes are trained on Angel and the sinner feels exposed under that stare. As if the king can see everything Angel is and everything he could have been and everything he will never be. His golden eyes are like marbles, mirrors that reflect but take nothing in. He has never looked more like the timeless being that he is.
“What did you expect from the guy that doomed all of humanity with free will?”
