Summary
"Before Encina had sent the bear hug letter, Jude had stared hard at a picture of Pedri taken on the red carpet of some award, studying his expression, analyzing his posture, imagining the sound of his voice. In person, Jude found that the unruly spark that animated all of Pedri’s features, not to mention the velvety molasses of his voice, gave Pedri the air of a fallen angel, a disciplined golden boy with a soft underbelly of debauched desires he himself could barely understand, much less articulate or control. That was Jude’s in."
Jude. Pedri. Two rivals in a heated corporate takeover battle find one night of unexpected pleasure and release in each other's body.

Summary
“Pedri sits across from them, his eyes lingering for a moment on Gavi. His wavy hair, a bit long in the front, is slightly matted with sweat, and he is flipping quickly through a tote bag. His eyes widen comically, then when he finds what he’s looking for, he visibly relaxes, lips smoothing out from the pinched shape. He pulls out three copies of a presentation and reaches over to slide one across the table to Pedri. Out of the corner of his eye, Pedri sees a sliver of skin as the seam of Gavi’s pale blue shirt comes untucked under his suit jacket.”
Pedri has built his startup from scratch into an eight-figure enterprise. Now, the young hotshot CEO is suddenly confronted with an existential threat: a takeover offer from a private equity fund led by Jude Bellingham. He calls on an old friend, Rodri, who brings a new associate, Gavi, and together with his brother Fer and his lead investor Xavi, Pedri finally learns how ambition might not be the solution to everything, and how falling hard for Gavi, as messy as that is, might be the best thing that he’s never planned.

Summary
"He flips his phone over and over in his hand like he used to do with a pen in school, the screen flickering on and off. Mason sits by himself in the away dressing room and doesn’t try to follow any of the conversations around him. The obligatory Instagram post done, happy but subdued, his first goal for his new club earning them only a draw, while his fingers itch to tap out another kind of message altogether."

Mason goes to Frank, full of need and conflicted feelings, after scoring his first goal for Man United. -

Summary
"PEDRI
Listen, I wouldn’t normally care what you do, but I’m not getting in trouble with Alex just because you’re five years old and three beans tall and has the temper of a day-old mule.GAVI
What? What does that even mean? You need to go get checked for a concussion, you’re not making any sense."After Pedri hits a fan with his car (with what he calls a "gentle nudge") and sets off a media shitstorm, the club decides to rehabilitate his image by requiring him to drive Gavi, "basically an adult" but license-less, to and from training for a month.

Summary
"Gavi’s eyes are red-rimmed and puffy, and he is blinking them hard, once, twice, avoiding Pedri’s look. The stark, fluorescent lighting in the dressing room – no money for mood lighting, they often joked to each other – catches on Gavi’s eyelashes, and Pedri doesn’t want to understand what it means even though he already knows. It’s not like he didn’t have a private cry himself last night.
Xavi isn’t even in the room yet, and Gavi already looks like a man wrung through by grief."
A "missing scene" from the day after the Villarreal game and Xavi's announcement.
