Summary
Recently, Jotaro had noticed that with a bit of pressure, Noriaki’s lips got a lot warmer, and that blue tinge started to fade, replaced by a dusting of pink. As a species, mermaids were regionally endothermic, with retia mirabilia so evolved and intricate that the preserved specimens from the deceased ones looked like alien works of art, and Noriaki’s probably functioned the most efficiently out of all of them, from what they’d hypothesized, meaning heat could be transferred into any muscle whenever it needed it most.
Jotaro wasn’t sure if that was the response he was observing, or if it was a simple exothermic reaction between their disparate body temperatures, but given the other adaptations that had already been documented, he wouldn’t be surprised if it were just another example of Noriaki’s incredibly complex body compensating for their differences yet again.

Six thirty-two was the time Jotaro scrawled into the sign-in sheet next to his name, giving the passive, older man sitting at the desk a nod. He’d been worried that by the time he eventually arrived, they’d give him grief about it being too late and he wouldn’t be let in, but thankfully, no one seemed to care. If he’d managed to break his promise to Noriaki this quickly, it would’ve been pretty shitty of him, and he was trying not to follow that pattern in his life anymore.

Summary
Dio had never seen anything as beautiful as the sun setting over his kingdom for the first time. He’d been busy the first evening, head tilted back as he lounged on his new throne, drinking in the screams and smell of smoke and drops of blood, and things had gotten away from him after that— through no fault of his own. Being king was hard work, after all. Being a new one was even harder. So much to uproot and put in order, finally wrenching his dreams down from the sky and forcing the world to his design.
He wasn’t fool enough to think the peace would last, though. He would always have dissenters. His legitimacy was in question by nature of the start of his reign. But every problem had a solution, and Dio’s wasn’t far away.
He huffed a laugh and turned away from the view, glancing over at his bed and the very angry alpha tied to the headboard.

The zoom cuts back. Slowly, teasingly. Bit by bit, the broadcast is graced with the image of a silky red room, where a single man is laid out in nothing but black bonds.
He’s a big guy, rippling with muscle, hairy and ruby-eyed. His skin glistens with the first indications of sweat; his expression is a gloss of heavy lids, mouth wrapped around the squishy weight of a cherry colored ball gag. If you squint, the sharp points of four fangs can be seen teething into it.
