Summary
Gustave hates Verso for letting him die. A sentiment that is shared by a lot of Lumiere. But when he realizes that his feelings towards the man may have accidentally caused a lot of problems for Verso including putting him in danger… he can’t help but feel guilty. At Sciel and Lune’s request, he pretends to forge a friendship with him. Trying to show others that he’s forgiven him. And that they should do the same. But the longer he spends with him, the more he realizes he actually enjoys spending time with Verso. And doesn’t want the time he spends with him to be fake anymore.

Summary
Maelle brings Verso back to Lumière in a catatonic state, unresponsive and unwilling to let himself live. While she has no greater wish than for him to happily live out the rest of his years as a mortal man, she can't trust him with mortality until she's sure he's found his will to live—and he can't exactly do that if he sleeps every day away until his inevitable death by starvation.
Gustave, wary of the man who was prepared to enact their world's erasure, is less than enthused about the idea of attempting to wake him; but with no one else seeing any success, and with Maelle's emotional well-being on the line, he has no choice but to try.

Summary
After Maelle's victory, Gustave is struggling to adjust. If it weren't so damn pathetic, it might even be funny: the broken engineer, unable to fix himself. But with Lumière in ruins, there is no time for self-pity. His people need him, and he won't let them down.
Never again.
Now if only Verso bloody Dessendre would stop accidentally falling asleep on his furniture…
Or: Verso can't sleep unless Gustave is near. Somehow, it becomes Gustave's problem to solve — and the key to both their salvation. (Complete, updates twice a week)

Summary
"Verso Dessendre?" Gustave slips out before wincing at his own words. Announce to whole world that the Dessendre's prodigal son is here, why don't he. "I'm so sorry, that did not come out right at all. It just surprised me. Verso, it's a pleasure, truly."
Verso, at least, has it in him to look amused as he offers his hand, which Gustave quickly takes for a shake. At least he had the right mind to shake with his flesh hand instead of his metallic one. "A pleasure, Gustave. Sciel has talked about you a lot as of late."
"I hope only good things."
He's not sure how to describe the look Verso is giving him, he's too exhausted to dissect it. His eyes, a cool bluish grey, are observing him, and he can only hope it's in a positive light after his slip up. "You have no idea."
OR
Gustave Auclair has never been the same after the passing of his wife, Sophie. Perhaps he's never been alright. However, in a growing friendship between him and Verso Dessendre, he finds that his life is easier to bear with that man in it. It will be devastating when he realizes that he's slowly falling in love after all this time.
