Nate sighed before heading into the living room to find all three other vampire teammates in the room. Felix was laid across the couch while Mason sat in the corner of the room in a haze of smoke. He couldn't keep the glare completely out of his gaze as he noticed Adam staring out the windows, presumably looking for every ounce of sense he used to possess that seemed to have evaporated once he met the detective.

Nate finally gets the detective to tell him what happened between her and Adam. He is less than pleased with his best friend.

“Well, it’s not quite communication, the way I was translating it. It’s actually… ah…” Nate runs a hand through his hair, searching for words in a very un-Nate-like fashion. “Ah… communion.”
Kat frowns. “Like the church thing?”
“No… Not quite like the church—”
Mason claps his hands together and cackles, burying his face against her shoulder before flopping back against the couch.
“Are you—” He wipes his eye, dissolves into laughter again. “Are you saying that summoning a desire demon requires a threesome?”
