Summary
Jason Todd watches the Batfamily from a distance, feeling both comforted and tormented by their unity and growth without him. Consumed by regret and a sense of inadequacy, he plans to leave Gotham for good, believing they are better off without him. However, his need for acknowledgment and closure leads him to confront them in the Batcave.
His sudden appearance shocks the Batfamily, especially Bruce Wayne, who is overwhelmed with sorrow and guilt, believing he failed Jason. In an emotional moment, Bruce embraces Jason, apologizing for thinking he was lost forever. The Batfamily gathers around, offering tentative acceptance and understanding.
Jason expresses his desire to make up for lost time and be part of the family again. Bruce assures him they will face the challenges together. The reunion brings a sense of hope and healing, marking the beginning of Jason's journey toward rediscovery and forgiveness.

“Fuck you! Fuck you, fuck you, oh my god, don't do this. I swear to god if you do this—”
Dick gives him another anguished look before falling to his knees. He catches a kick before it can land, and pries Jason's thighs apart with an iron grip. He's pretty sure he's going to have bruises tomorrow. The thought fills him with dread.
“I'll try to make it as quick as I can,” Dick promises.

Summary
Really, at this point, it doesn’t surprise Jason that Bruce trusts Jason about as much as he trusts the other loonies that he throws in Arkham. It shouldn’t hurt, it shouldn’t, but it does, and to Jason that’s the worst part. That he knows he’s done more than enough to gain Bruce’s distrust, that he’s continually shown Bruce that trusting him doesn’t end well for anyone involved, including Jason, and yet...it still sends a shooting pain into his heart. The same shooting pain he felt when he was 15, angry at Bruce for not believing him about Garzonas, for not trusting him, and for telling him what to do, causing him to run away, and get beaten nearly to death by the Joker and subsequently blown up. Jason should be used to it, but he isn’t.
