Summary
He stops you as you're about to leave.
"Shepard-Commander. We have an inquiry."
"Let's hear it, Legion."
"What is your perspective on 'love'?"
(A ~3.5k interactive TwineFic about love, what it means to you, and the possibility that it means something similar to all 1,183 of the processes that make up the totality informally called Legion.)

Summary
"But what about you, lieutenant?" Minot asks, after a while. "What do you think of the 41st, so far?"
"It feels familiar," Kim answers honestly. Despite half a life spent in the RCM, he can still be faintly surprised that the people milling around the legendary 41st are carbon copies of the people he'd worked with for so long. He knows them already.
Minot makes a comprehending sound. "I haven't worked at any other precincts, but somehow it's not too surprising to hear that. It's not the kind of job you take only because you have no other options."
"Everyone has their reasons."

Summary
Kiryu’s circle of acquaintances had never been big. He’d always had Nishiki and Yumi, who understood him best, who he could actually talk to sometimes. Kazama for his stern and solid support. He could only talk to their headstones now.
Haruka, her small, hot hand clamped in his, didn’t deserve to bear his grief merely by virtue of being all he had left. For a few hours on weekends, he could manage not to think of anything but the joy on her face as she scanned café menus and tried to decide how much she wanted to cut into his former-chairman’s pension for the month. She could’ve picked any number she liked. She probably knew that.
Technically speaking, Haruka wasn’t the only person he had left. The other most obvious option wasn’t someone you invited, though; he could usually be expected to just show up...

Summary
If Kiryu tried to say goodbye to everything and everyone he’d loved in Kamurocho, he’d end up never leaving. He had to make a shortlist: people who had helped him, places that had saved his life. The door to Serena still opened for him.

Summary
Mikio's phone only managed to ring one time before Rikiya snatched it out of his hands and snapped it shut. “Don’t bother him with this!! We’ve got this.”
“Do we though…?” Mikio asked hesitantly. The orphanage was in an uproar. Eri was crying in the dining room, consoled by Saki and Ayako. Izumi was distracting an overexcited Mame with treats and pets. Shiro and Riona crouched around the cause of all the ruckus: a ragged-looking songbird, fluttering feebly in the dust.

Summary
Problem:
Out on a lake in Central Jamrock that was formed by a meteorite strike, a little ship has been circling for years, searching the lakebed for something. This is its impossible, maybe even eternal task. Its helm stands empty. It can't move on, to open seas and open skies, until it finds what it lacks. It has to try, and keep trying. It's running out of time.

Summary
NORTH COURON PUBLIC ACCESS WATERFRONT - Stop me if you've heard this one: Two cops walk onto a beach in the middle of April. They've only known each other for a few weeks. One of them has only known *anything* for a few weeks, and swimming isn't on that list. He's wearing a ridiculous, 20-year-old bathing suit, and the city around him is teetering on the edge of warm spring bloodshed. It will never again be the same as it is now. He builds a sandcastle.

At 2:17 am local time, Yeesha linked cleanly into the public library of a New Mexico town. She would make of herself a microcosm; if her heritage could be reshaped within her, it could be reshaped without.

Summary
Pamitha came around like the summer showers in the bogs that were Bertrude’s home. Just as one would muse that it had been some time since the last rain, the air would grow heavy and expectant with moisture leached from the earth, until it could bear no more and let loose its burden, sudden as a sigh and just as brief.
(In which the urge to self-sabotage is as persistent and natural as gravity)

Summary
Patroclus passes on a gift that both taps into a history Zag will never be part of, and shows him that there is still more he can be part of. He has reached the surface several times, and he must keep going, but no matter what comes next, it doesn't have to be an end.

Summary
Everything on the surface had so much to it, sensations that couldn't exist in the dead stillness of the earth's core. Zag could pick something up off the ground, anything, and it would have density and color and texture and scent, not dulled and dusty and crumbling away from eons of going untouched by anything more alive than ashes.
