Summary
The first thought that Suguru had upon meeting the Satoru Gojo was that he was beautiful. Ethereal, even. The kind of pretty that comes without even trying, all soft lips and long white lashes. The kind of stunning that’s impossible to deny, messy platinum hair and a piercing gaze that is enough to pin those with even the strongest of wills beneath the weight of his knowing, judgmental stare.
The second, more prominent, and honestly much more pressing thought that Suguru had when he first met Satoru Gojo was that he was fucking annoying.
Suguru stands by that secondary statement more than ever now. Left to deal with him alone in a suffocatingly small classroom, his patience wearing thin and a headache beginning to bloom between his temples.
“The fuck do you mean you ‘don’t need’ my help?”

The beginning of it all may not have been as smooth for the two strongest sorcerers as most people expected, considering how close they are now . . . or, well, maybe it is a little expected. I mean, come on. This is Satoru Gojo we’re talking about, right?

Hunter tried his best to sync his breathing to hers, shaky exhales interrupted by small hiccups and whimpers. He was trembling slightly. Even after all these years, breaking down in front of others still felt so alien. Even with Willow and Gus, the two people he trusted above all others. Guilt still sat in the pit of his stomach like a sack of stones, crushing his organs into pained knots. He knew she wouldn’t judge him or discipline him for his emotions as Belos once had, but the fear still prickled through every cell in his body.
Hunter swallowed, throat dry and burning. “Willow?”
“Yes, Hunter?” She brought her hand down from his hair to gently cup his cheek, thumbing away the wet tear tracks.
“Why me?”

Hunter wakes up from a dream that leaves him feeling incredibly insecure. Thankfully, Willow is there to talk him through it.

Summary
Hunter has had a pretty rough life, nobody can deny that. However, things aren’t all too bad in the here and now. He’s now entered his 20’s and is spending every day doing things that he wants to do.
Palismen carving fulfills and soothes him, offers him purpose after so much time of struggling to find who he is. And on top of this? He’s got a pretty cute girlfriend, too. One who drops by often to pay him visits in the middle of his daily work.

Summary
Saving the world from being possessed and destroyed by a narcissistic super-tyrant is one thing, but fixing the world afterward is a whole other beast. Large portions of the Boiling Isles are either destroyed or significantly altered, families are separated, and an entire nation of witches is left without guidance or a leader to turn to. To put it simply, the immediate threat has been quelled, but the aftermath brings with it a whole host of other issues rearing their ugly heads.
There couldn’t be a more difficult time to be a young witch. Yet, now the Hexsquad and co find themselves faced not only with navigating the whole “growing up” thing, but now also feel the weight of responsibility toward saving their entire world. Again. Emperor Belos is finally dead, but the physical, psychological, and sociopolitical damage he’s caused will outlive him for years.
Hunter feels responsible for much of this damage, as the guilt of his days as Golden Guard claw at the back of his mind. He wants to prove to himself, his friends, and the isles that he can and will be different. But, where to even start? How can you prove yourself when you don’t even know what or who you are to begin with?
