“Kakashi,” Minato-sensei strains, expression caught between disappointment and how-did-you-even-do-that.
“What?” Kakashi asks, innocent. “I’m just training.” He’s sure Obito would be protesting that claim if Obito could move enough to. Fortunately, Obito can’t. “Obito’s helping me.”
Minato-sensei looks terribly doubtful of that, shifting his gaze between Kakashi and Obito. To make up for the fact Obito is currently a puddle on the ground, completely unable to move, Kakashi shifts to make himself look as innocent as possible. “Right,” Minato-sensei stretches out the word, “Make sure that”—he casts another disturbed glance at Obito—“whatever you did to him reverses without any side effects.”
“Of course, Minato-sensei. I wouldn’t leave one of my teammates compromised.”

Summary
Kakashi had a lot of things he was guilty over, they just piled up and up as the years went by. He just kept getting shattered, over and over again.
Life had never seemed to really like him.
(He could still remember that day. The day the sky weeped for the loss of a hero, the storm raged for the undeserved misfortune he had encountered before his untimely death. The first time Kakashi felt truly alone.
