Summary
Izuku pauses, wanting to take the time to make sure he says the right words. It’s nothing new to him, he already knows how much Katsuki’s changed over the years, he wears the same vicious grins in the face of death and blasts the same devouring waves of flames and sparks, if not even stronger.
But he’s no longer reduced to words that bleed with acid and eyes that shrink with disgust. He no longer cloaks himself with cold shadows or spits daggers, uncaring of who it cuts into.
He’s so, so, so much more and Izuku’s entire being swells up with pride at that.
