Summary

Summary
Jaskier finds himself trapped between the world of the living and the dead, with no memories of how it happened. He has no choice but to follow his Witcher guide to Kaer Morhen, the keep of the Lord of the Dead, where Jaskier must remain until either his soul returns to his body, or he passes on.
At first, being confined to Kaer Morhen is the worst fate Jaskier can imagine, but he soon learns the Underworld, and its god, are nothing like the tales paint them. The longer he remains, the more he begins to wonder if staying would be so terrible after all.

“Buck,” he says, taking a deep breath to project loud enough that the onlookers can hear him. “--Evan, you’re my best friend, my partner,” he internally groans as he remembers that he is currently dressed as Woody, a cartoon cowboy, “my…better half. I’m sorry to spring this on you,” he hears Buck snort, quietly so that only he can hear, “but will you marry me?”
There’s a pause as Buck milks the attention, pretending to hem and haw, but then, with his glee evident on his face, he answers, “I think I will…partner.”
A remastered, reworked version of the Disneyland fake fiancé fic with twice the original content.
