    “Pen, it’s just the tattoo you marked me with,” Colin said, trying to sound calm, though his voice was tinged with mischief.

    Penelope hesitated, her fingers still pressed against her face as she peeked between them. “Prove it,” she challenged, her skepticism evident despite the bizarre circumstances.

    Colin sighed, letting the sheet drop completely as he turned slightly to reveal the tattoo on his lower stomach. The quirky design with words "Property of Penelope Featherington" were etched in ink, undeniably visible on the smooth skin of his belly.
