Summary
The truth is, it’s been a little difficult to be around Hongjoong these past few months. In a way, it’s Seonghwa’s own fault, for wanting things he can’t have and getting his hopes up over and over again, just to have them crushed like a dry, brittle leaf in the palm of his hand, looking as the dust flies away with the wind. He should’ve known, watching the play of light on the waters of Lake Como, that some things weren’t meant to be.
Before the last concert of their North American tour, Seonghwa and Hongjoong spend five days at an upscale villa in Los Angeles. Those five days change everything. It's been a long time coming.

Summary
It’s the most they’ve been around each other since they moved out of their old dorms, and Seonghwa finds himself thrown out of his equilibrium every once in a while. He thought that years of sharing a room with Hongjoong had inoculated him against the mesmerizing power of Hongjoong’s presence. But this whole process has only served to remind Seonghwa how impossible it is for anyone to take their eyes off Hongjoong, how inevitable that one would be affected by his gravitational pull.
Seonghwa’s name might hide a star within its strokes, but in truth, he’s been orbiting around Hongjoong for the longest time.
Seonghwa and Hongjoong hook up the night they finish recording MATZ. They don't talk about it.

Summary
A body slid across the damp earth, a dragging, slithering sound of sorts. Languid. Unrushed. This was not a creature that feared the forest, this was a predator borne of the forest. A part of the forest. Here, it had nothing to fear. Hongjoong had heard stories of beasts like these, protectors of the jungle. Half human, half beast.
Hongjoong’s breath caught in his throat as the understanding rolled over him harsher than any riptide. After so long around humans again he could recognize the power he stood next to, the terror contained within an immortal body. This was a god, a deity.
After being marooned in the forest and left to be torn apart by the monsters within it, the respite Hongjoong finds is in the den of a snake.
