Summary
“Those are beautiful,” a voice blessed by time addresses Max. The blond turns his head, coming face to face with an elderly woman, dressed rather elegantly. She offers him a kind smile, pointing at the red roses in his grasp. “Are those for your mate?”
Max’s body speaks before his mind has time to process the stranger’s question. He nods, tightening his grip around the bouquet, “He was the last performer.”
“Oh, how lovely. I enjoyed his piece,” the lady says... “Do you have twelve roses in there?”
“Sixteen,” Max says, somewhat shy, voice quieter than usual. He tries not to think about it. “His favourite number.”Or: alpha Max and omega Charles fall in love

Summary
Charles works at a charming bookshop in Paris's Latin Quarter. Max is gorgeous, keeps coming into the shop, and appears to be an absolute idiot.
"Do you have books here?" Max asks, in a bookshop.
Charles is suffering. Because why would anyone that attractive think books have words in them? Why would someone that beautiful ask if The Stranger is about making friends? And why, why, would Max ask Charles on a date to organize his sock drawer?
The truth? Max is actually a brilliant aerospace engineer. He just becomes catastrophically stupid around people he's attracted to. The more he tries to impress Charles, the worse it gets.
Inspired by Sabrina Carpenter's "Manchild" – because sometimes the heart wants what it wants, even when what it wants can't string sentences together.

“Ow, what the fuck!” Charles exclaimed, his hands flying to the back of his head as he lay on the floor
“Oh shit, mate, I’m so sorry,” called an unknown voice at his feet. Sitting up, Charles rubbed the back of his head in confusion, finally looking up to put a face to the unknown figure that had just barged through the door.
“Hey, you’re Max-” Charles couldn’t finish, Max’s hand clasping over his mouth as he shushed him quietly.
“Yeah, and I’ll give you front row tickets to my next show if you do not scream my name.”
“I don’t even want to see your stupid concert,” muttered Charles, holding his forehead where the metal door had made contact with his face. “Ow”.
“Oh, we most definitely need to get you to the hospital,
