Percy and Annabeth are best friends still learning all kinds of new and fascinating things about each other. Including what motivation works best. Who knew it could be so fun for both of them.
“What kind of motivation?” Was she thinking snacks? And what kind? Or maybe he'd get to pick the show? Though he was kind of getting sucked into hers.
She kept her eyes locked on his, so he barely noticed when she licked her lips and scooched to the edge of his twin bed. One hand came up to play with the neckline of her shirt. “Maybe the kind where for every problem set you finish,” she tugged the neckline down a bit, “I give you a reward,” and now she pulled it down far enough that he got a peek at the lace edging of the white cup of her bra.
Holy shit. He gulped, nodding quickly. Whatever his face was doing had Annabeth smirking but who cared. He had the best friend ever.

Summary
Annabeth hadn’t been expecting it, and that was her first (and only) mistake. She had grown too comfortable, she knew — it had been months since the last monster attack, and it was only a few Cerastes, so she was able to take care of them no problem. When she and Percy were out together, monsters almost never attacked them — not since Tartarus.
So unfortunately, on her way home from studying after class with some of her friends, she wasn’t paying as much attention as she should have, and the monsters got the jump on her. She barely even realized what was happening at first, yanked into an alley and shoved against a brick wall. Her instincts kicked in before her brain did, but unfortunately, it was just enough for the monsters to get a good hit in, knocking her unconscious.
OR
Annabeth gets kidnapped by some monsters. Percy saves her.

He was almost 18 hours into the shift, and after having returned from three back to back calls that were all lift assists, he was ready for lunch. He slipped out of the ambulance and headed straight for the kitchen. He was about to get out everything he needed to make a quick sandwich (before they got another lift assist) when a very familiar voice sounded behind him.
“You really should have better situational awareness, Seaweed Brain.” He turned to see his girlfriend sitting at one of the smaller tables, a plastic bag in front of her, stacked with several styrofoam containers.
“Beth,” Percy sighed in relief, and hurried across the floor to get to her, leaning down to kiss her soundly. “I missed you.”
“I missed you, too. S’why I brought you lunch. Figured we could have a little date."
OR
Percy also deserves princess treatment, and Annabeth is going to give it to him. (Not necessary to read the first part at all to understand this one, but it is very cute)

“Put your arm around my neck,” he said, and Annabeth frowned, confused, but did as he said, and a moment later, she was lifted in the air, one of his arms in the crook of her knees and the other behind her back.
“Percy!” she gasped, tightening her grip on him. “What are you doing?”
“I can tell that your shoes are making your feet hurt,” he shrugged. “I can carry you so why wouldn’t I?” Annabeth felt her skin heat up, and she leaned in to kiss his cheek, leaving behind a slight stain of her lip gloss. She didn’t think he’d mind.
